BRAND AMBASSADOR (part time)

Schedule & Pay

Hours: Scheduled as needed on a per event basis
Pay Rate: $15 / hour

Objectives

● Represent O’Connor Brewing Co. at a variety of events at the brewery (concerts, festivals, marquee events, etc.) - reporting to the General Manager
● Represent O’Connor Brewing Co. at a variety of 3 rd party events (beer festivals, concerts, charity functions, etc.) – reporting to the Director of Sales

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will vary for each event. 
Duties may include: 
o Beertending, including serving draft or packaged beer
o Educating customers and event goers about O’Connor Brewing and our products
o Assisting customers and directing them on event details
o Set up, break down, and clean up of event space as needed
o Transportation of beer, merchandise products, and equipment (tent, table, jockey box, etc.) to and from the event
o Other event support duties, such as capacity control, ticket sales, or ID check  Must be 21+

Driving & Vehicle Requirements

● Must have a personal vehicle available for travel to or from events. All driving in your personal vehicle will be reimbursed at $0.56 per mile, calculated based on the lesser of the mileage from your home address to the event or the mileage from the brewery to the event.
● An O’Connor company vehicle may be provided for some events.

BARTENDER (part-time or full time)

Objectives

●  Assist the General Manager & Shift Managers to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the tasting room ●  Provide the highest level of customer service, quality of service, and expectations of OBC. 
●  Ensure every guest is given the proper attention during their experience with us at the brewery. 
●  Provide the best 1st impression of our brewery.

Responsibilities

● Work as a team with management and barbacks. 
● Greet every customer with a friendly and helpful demeanor 
● Ensuring the following get done with every guest: 
   ○ Check IDs to ensure that all drinking customers are over the age of 21 
   ○ Educate about our beers before they order 
   ○ Serve drinks in their proper format and vessel 
   ○ Follow alcohol awareness procedures to prevent intoxication 
   ○ Ring up customers using our processing system 
● Report any overly intoxicated customers to the General Manager and Shift Manager immediately if noticed. 
● Report any ABC violations, unruly customers, or other incidents to the General Manager and Shift Manager immediately. 
● Thank customers for visiting, welcome them back, and ensure they leave on a positive note 
● Keep the tasting room, beer garden, game room, and mezzanine bar areas clean and sanitized in between customers or at least once hourly 
● Fulfill all opening and closing duties and cleaning 
● Fulfill any tasks delegated by the General Manager and Shift Managers ● Perform thorough cleanings of areas once or twice weekly as scheduled 
● Have knowledge of our beers, events, music, sales, promotions, and other aspects of the brewery and be able to accurately answer questions or attain the correct answer to questions
● Keep informed on these aspects via the internal Google calendar and communication with the General Manager and Shift Manager 
● Comply with the company’s SOPs and policies 
● Comply with the company’s Personal Protective Equipment and cleaning policies

BARBACK

Objectives

• Assist the Tasting Room & Events Manager, Shift Managers, and bartenders to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the tasting room
• Provide the highest level of customer service, sanitation, and safety
• Ensure the cleanliness of the tasting room side of the brewery as well as the outdoor areas

Responsibilities

• Work as a team with management, bartenders, and other barbacks
• Greet every customer with a friendly and helpful demeanor
• Fill in as a bartender when break relieving or helping to cut down lines
--Check IDs to ensure that all drinking customers are over the age of 21
--Educate customers about our beers before they order
--Serve customers drinks in their proper format and vessel
--Follow alcohol awareness procedures to prevent intoxication
--Ring up customers using our processing system
• Fulfill the role of delivery driver as needed
--Drive the company car to customers’ homes to deliver their web orders using a mapped route created with the Shift Manager
--Check the customer’s ID to ensure that they are over the age of 21
• Fulfill the role of to-go attendant as needed
• Report any intoxicated customers to the Tasting Room & Events Manager immediately
• Report any ABC violations, unruly customers, or other incidents to the Tasting Room & Events Manager immediately
• Thank customers for visiting, welcome them back, and ensure they leave on a positive note
• Keep the tasting room, beer garden, game room, and mezzanine bar areas clean and sanitized in between customers or at least once hourly
• Keep the tasting room, beer hall, beer garden, loading dock, lounge, game room, and mezzanine seating areas clean and sanitized in between customers or at least once hourly
• Clean and sanitize all door handles and ledges in between customers or at least once hourly
• Clean, sanitize, and restock the bathrooms once an hour
• Monitor and empty all indoor and outdoor trash cans as needed
• Restock cups as needed
• Run the dishwasher and restock glassware as needed
• Change empty kegs and place them behind the hose next to the keg washer on the production side of the facility
• Work with the Shift Managers and bartenders to put away beer orders and restock coolers ● Fulfill all opening and closing duties and cleaning
• Fulfill any tasks delegated by the Tasting Room & Events Manager and Shift Managers
• Assist the bartenders with tasks when they are unable to leave their line
• Clean beer lines once or twice weekly as scheduled
• Perform thorough cleanings of areas once or twice weekly as scheduled
• Have knowledge of our beers, events, music, sales, promotions, and other aspects of the brewery and be able to accurately answer questions or attain the correct answer to questions
• Keep informed on these aspects via the internal Google calendar and communication with the Tasting Room & Events Manager and Shift Managers
• Comply with the company’s SOPs and policies

Package Lead


Duties & Responsibilities:
• Fosters a strong team bond through the ability to listen, learn, pass along information and coach. 
• Enables and supports individual team members to achieve personal and professional goals by always targeting improvement.
• Engages in strong and fluid communication with the management team in the spirit of teamwork and collaboration.
• Embraces brewery-wide safety programs and initiatives and enforces adherence within the department.
• Assists and takes lead on the continual revision and re-development of SOP’s within the department.
• Critically observes daily operations to shape and mold efficiencies in departmental operations.
• Heads all aspects of packaging operations: equipment, packaging construction, and work areas concerning strict cleanliness and proper operation. 
• Communicates with management to optimize beer scheduling as well as personnel scheduling to successfully and efficiently meet production demands. 
• Assists and leads the charge in day to day floor operations. 
• Other duties and responsibilities as needed. 
 
Qualifications: 
• 3-5 years minimum experience in a liquid packaging environment (beer, soda, water, milk, etc.) 
• A team-oriented focus and desire to work collaboratively with the Director of Brewing Operations. 
• Ability to mentor and teach others. • Strong organizational skills. 

All Production Positions:
Shift Scheduling:
• Ability to report for work in a timely manner.
• Willingness to work on varying shift schedules, including weekends and overnights.

Physical Requirements: 
• Ability to complete a variety of physical tasks that may include heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motion. 
• Ability to clearly communicate with coworkers and management in verbal and written form.
• Must have sufficient visual acuity and hearing in order to safely operate machinery, safely operate motor vehicles, and to perform work in a neat and thorough manner. 

Workplace Conditions:
Safety is the top priority; however, members of the Production Team may be subject to: 
• Cold, hot, and/or noisy working environment.
• Vibrations.
• Hazards, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding or high places, exposure to heat, or exposure to chemicals.  

Packaging 3

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Rotate between stations on the bottling and canning line as required.
• Assist in the construction of all packaging materials for bottling and canning runs.
• Engage in strong inter-departmental communication in the spirit of teamwork.
• Operate pallet jack. Be willing to become forklift certified.
• Understand how to read and record packaging/brewing sheets.
• Pull orders for distribution. 
• Cleaning and organizing the stations and the brewery overall. 
• Other duties and responsibilities as needed. 
 
Qualifications: 
• This is an entry level position. A great attitude and willingness to learn is the key to success.
